Life can get confusing
Counselling and Psychotherapy can help

I specialise in working with adults who have recently been diagnosed with, or who self-identify as having, Autism, ADHD, or AuDHD.
My approach is neurodivergent-affirming.
Are you navigating the complex world of neurodiversity? Perhaps you're wondering if you're autistic, have ADHD, or both (AuDHD)? You're not alone. Many adults are receiving late diagnoses, often prompted by their child's diagnosis or through self-discovery. Thanks to the wealth of information now available, more people than ever are embarking on their own neurodivergent research journeys.
Discovering you're neurodivergent can be a mixed blessing. While it often brings a sense of relief and self-understanding, it also raises new questions. How much do you really know about autism or ADHD? Surprisingly, many neurodivergent individuals have limited knowledge about their own neurotype.
Do you feel fundamentally different from others?
Is there a disconnect between your inner experience and outward appearance?
Do you struggle to express your emotions?
Whether you're exploring the possibility of being neurodivergent or coming to terms with a diagnosis, it's important to recognise how past experiences shape your present. This awareness can help you break free from unhealthy behavioural and thought patterns.

About me

Hello, I’m Crena. I’m a UKCP-registered psychotherapist with advanced training (level 7) in Transactional Analysis (TA), an integrative modality that draws on humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural traditions. I specialise in working with autistic and ADHD adults, as well as their adult families.
My practice is neurodivergent-affirming, which means I welcome you exactly as you are — there’s no need to explain yourself, or fit into someone else’s mould.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent many years working in the creative industries. That experience shaped my understanding of how pressures, expectations, and uncertainty can affect our well-being. I bring that insight into my therapeutic work, combining professional training with real-world understanding.
In my work, I draw on both counselling and psychotherapy. Counselling is often shorter-term and focused on what’s happening in your life right now, while psychotherapy tends to go deeper, looking at patterns and past experiences that may be affecting your present. Together, we can find the balance that feels right for you — whether that’s practical support for immediate challenges, or a deeper exploration of the roots of what you’re experiencing.

Navigating a Neurotypical World
Do you sometimes feel like an alien trying to decipher human behaviour? What seems straightforward to neurotypical individuals can be perplexing for neurodivergent people. This disconnect can lead to:
Feelings of shame and confusion
A fragmented sense of self
Social withdrawal and isolation
Remember, no two neurodivergent individuals are alike. Many neurodivergent people also experience co-occurring conditions such as trauma, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, or depression. Your neurodivergence can influence every aspect of your life, from family dynamics to workplace relationships and friendships..
Qualifications
I am fully qualified and regulated.
Registered with UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy), meeting nationally accredited standards for training and ethics. Reg. No: 2011172047
I have a certificate in couples counselling and working with trauma. I have undertaken many hours of training and continue to do so for working with neurodivergent individuals and couples. For the last five years, I have specialised in working with autistic and ADHD adults.
